One Direction Music Videos

The other day, my daughter and I went to the theatre to see a fun 3D movie about an English-Irish pop boy band called, "One Direction: This is Us".  These 5 young men were brought together by Simon Cowell and they got their start on the television show X Factor UK.  In this movie, they did a couple of songs that really stood out for me.  Here are two of their music videos I wanted to share with you.

Their fans are called, "Directioners, by the way.  I think I am a Directioner now.

The first song, called, "Little Things," is very romantic.  It's a simple and pure love song, played with guitar.

The second song I wanted to share, is "Kiss You." It's a fun, upbeat song where the guys are having fun.  Has a bit of a rock and roll feel to it.  Can't help but smile.  Reminds me of something the Beatles would do if they were performing in this day and age.

One of their most famous songs is called, "What Makes You Beautiful."

For more information on their history and success, check out One Direction on Wikipedia

Have a great day!

Ordinary Day - Music Video

I heard this song called, "Ordinary Day" for the first time on the movie, "My Girlfriend's Boyfriend" (2010) on Netflix.  It's a cute movie, and great (older) song by Canadian musician Emilie Mover.  You may recognize Emilie's distinctive voice from a Dodge commercial.  Check out this stop motion music video by Alyssa Jamal.  It took her about a month to make it.

Enjoy!

Here are the lyrics from Song Meanings:

I fall asleep to,
your serenade.
I wake up to,
your saving grace.

I see the sun beam the perfect ray,
I wanna send out a gazillion bouquet.
I hear the chords that resonate,
It's just another,
oh oh, oh ordinary day.
aoooh, aoooh

I look from your eyes,
down to your lips.
I feel it from my toes down to my fingertips.

I see the clouds shake,
A sweet aray
It's just another,
oh oh, oh ordinary day.
aoooh, aoooh, aoooh, aoooh

On Sunday afternoon we wake up,
to find that snow has fallen down down

We should put our winter clothes on,
and go walking 'round.

And we can sit there,
beside the hills.
Maybe we'll notice that the world is standing still.
Some things may go and,
some stay the same.
in just another
oh oh, oh ordinary day.
aoooh
oh, oh, oh ordinary day
aoooh
oh, oh, oh ordinary day
aoooh
oh, oh, oh ordinary day
aoooh
oh, oh, oh ordinary day

I Like You (Music Video)

Check out this great song by SJ called, "I Like You" (2009).  It is a simple, easy-listening, romantic song about a guy who likes a girl.  I couldn't get the song out of my head and had to hear it again.

Here's some background on SJ from his YouTube channel:

South Florida-based acoustic singer-songwriter SJ blends melodic folk, a chill vibe, and diverse arrangements creating an acoustically soulful groove and sound. SJ's music has been compared to music from artists such as Jack Johnson and Donovan Frankreiter, and acoustic material from John Mayer and Dave Matthews. SJ's raspy vocal hooks and acoustic groove have firmly planted him on the national music scene, with industry acceptance at multi-format commercial and non-commercial radio in the US and abroad.

Have an awesome day!
