I am a wife, mother of two adult children, a dog owner, and a Registered Social Worker who has been working in the field for more than 25 years. I am currently employed full-time in the health field and have obtained a Masters degree in Social Work (2014).
I started writing this blog on March 25, 2010, as suggested by my son. At that time, I was in a very stressful job, and I needed something to help me keep focused on the positive things in life. In December 2013 I quit writing for this blog as I had found other interests and the stress in my life was gone (new job!).
I wrote a book about my burnout on the job and the book is available on Amazon.com. It's called, A Book About Burnout: One Social Worker's Tale of Survival. (I also wrote another book!)
My life lessons and experiences on the bright side of life shared in this blog motivate me to stay positive and help me focus on the positive side of life and got me through a difficult time. I hope this optimism and my positive words will enrich the lives of others and help them live their best life.
