Geese in Twilight

"How do geese know when to fly to the sun?  Who tells them the seasons?  How do we, humans know when it is time to move on?  As with the migrant birds, so surely with us, there is a voice within if only we would listen to it, that tells us certrainly when to go forth into the unknown".  -- Elizabeth Kubler-Ross

My husband and I went for a walk the other evening, and we sat by the man-made lake as we visited.  The sun was setting, and it was getting cooler.  We started to hear and see the geese coming in for a landing in the lake.  It got very loud with the geese honking.  They were flying overhead, and landing in the lake.  We witnessed their gracefulness as they gently floated down from the sky. This is a time of year when the geese are getting ready to head south to escape our cold winters here in Canada.

I have taken a few nice pictures off of Photobucket to give you an idea of what we saw.

Have a great day!
