Spring Has Sprung: Dancing in the Rain

"Anyone who says sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain." ~Author Unknown

The first good rain of spring is always refreshing.  It washes away all the dust, dirt and mould that has collected over the fall and winter months, and it gives new life to the grass, plants and trees.  Our city has turned from a dull grey/brown to a lush, vibrant green in literally a matter of hours.  The grass is looking so healthy and the leaves are budding on the trees.  The shine and gloss the water leaves adds to the brilliance of the colours.

When I came home from work, I found my daughter outside, in the rain, jumping on the trampoline with three of her friends.  They were all soaking wet, happy and it looked like it was a celebration of spring's arrival.  I saw a robin in the rain, looking for little worms in the grass, and this is always a beautiful sight.  My niece's facebook status said, "Dancin in the rain!".  Children, birds and people all over are celebrating spring's arrival with this first rainfall of the season.  We are feeling renewed and refreshed!

Enjoy!
