Pregnant and I Know It

A brilliantly done parody about pregnancy, done to the song, "I'm Sexy and I Know It". Although it's been many years since my last pregnancy, I can totally relate!

Pinterest for Fun

Doggy Cupcakes Lookalike

File:Pinterest Logo.svg

I have been enjoying Pinterest.com these days. It is a pinboard-styled social photo sharing website.

Above is an example of a picture I found on Pinterest.  It's originally from the site called, http://www.theentertainingelf.com/animals/doggy-cupcakes-lookalike/

From Wikipedia:

Pinterest allows users to create and manage theme-based image collections.  The site's mission statement is to "connect everyone in the world through the 'things' they find interesting." The website has proven especiallay popular among women.

Check out Pinterest.com for great pictures and links.  I have started with a number of boards, and it's lots of fun.  It's like when I was younger and I had scrapbooks.  It's almost guaranteed that you'll find something that will make your day.

Cheers,

Bringing More Positive Into Your Life

www.brite-talk.com

I subscribe to a website called Brite-talk.com on Facebook.  The other day, there was a video about how to enjoy more abundance, and a very simple step on how to get more of what you like, and how to appreciate those positive moments and events in our lives.  There was reference to a movie called, "happythankyoumoreplease".

The story goes like this:  If you come across something positive, wonderful, or uplifting, you respond with,

"Thank you!  More please".

I tried it, and it feels good.  Try it yourself.

Here's the link to the post, with a great video that explains everything:  http://brite-talk.com/how-to-bring-more-abundance-into-your-life/

Have an awesome day.

Happiness is a Clear Horizon

Found this gem on my Facebook page today, from Happy, A Documentary.  It's a short clip on how Mr. Alfred Hitchcock defines "happiness".  He says happiness is when you have a clear horizon, and there is no destruction, or hatred, only creativity.

Blackout Loving Cake

Blackout Loving Cake

"What is Blackout Loving Cake?" I ask our server as I point to the listing on the dessert menu at Santa Lucia Pizza, Greek and Italian Cuisine.

She says, "It's a rich, chocolate cake.  Pure chocolate".

I look at my husband, and we agree, we'll share a piece.

She brings it to the table, with two forks.

A huge dark tower of chocolate cake comes to the table, garnished with fluffy whipping cream, chocolate sauce drizzled on the plate in a decorative fashion.

It is a rich, dark chocolate cake, layered with a velvety, creamy, ganache-like chocolate filling.  The filling reminded me of what's inside the Dark Lindt Chocolates, only thicker or denser. The cake was topped off with rich, smooth, dark chocolate icing.

We are both satisfied sharing one piece.  We are also satisfied with the price at $5.95.

For a little history and a sample recipe if you want to try making your own, go to this link: http://www.bakingobsession.com/2008/05/15/chocolate-blackout-cake/

Would definitely order that again.  Great for chocolate connoisseurs.

Have a great day!

So far, this is the oldest I've ever been.

Here is a music video I made, with inspiring quotes about getting older.

Paper Airplane Flight World Record

Saw this on CNN.com.  "Breaking News!"  Paper Airplane flies 226 feet 10 inches, breaking the world record.  Joe Ayoob throws a paper airplane designed by John Collins, in California.

The men are so excited, they run towards each other like a winning touchdown in the Superbowl.

I remember having fun with paper airplanes.  I threw some pretty good ones.  But never this far.

Proves that you can never take the boy out of the man.
