When in Rome

Want to watch a funny, cute, romantic comedy that the whole family can watch?  "When in Rome"(2010) is a great movie starring handsome Josh Duhamel and cute Kristen Bell that will have you laughing, and believing in magic as well as "real love".  Set in Rome (The City of Love) and New York, this adventure will have you smiling, laughing and the music is great, too.  I will think about this movie the next time someone throws a coin into a fountain!

Beautiful Words, Ready to Print

I stumbled across a great website called, "BeautifulWords.net" (formerly PagesForPrinting.com).  You will find some gems amid this American, Christian focussed website as there are many great ready-to-print quotes and other inspirational poems with coloured photographs and illustrations.  There are details about what you can do with the .pdf files, such as "put into a 5x7 frame", or use as "bookmarks".  Here are a few of my favourites:

Where is Your Happy Place?

When we want to kick back, relax, feel joy and be happy, we can escape to our "Happy Place". You may have heard the term used before. This is when we either envision a calm place in our mind, or when we actually go to a physical space. We can be on our own, or with people. We all have a happy place. Do you know where yours is?

If I've had a busy, hectic day, my happy place is usually relaxing with a good book. If it's nice out, the most happy place for me is reading a book outside on my garden swing. Having nature around me, in all its glorious sights and sounds, makes me feel happy.

"Feeling Good" LipDub

Even Michael Buble thinks these folks are good!  Had me smiling the whole time.  A group of older adults from the Clark Retirement Community put together a great music video to Buble's song, "Feeling Good".  Looks like they are having a great time.  I would love to live there one day!

I Like You - Music Video

I was listening to Sirius/XM Satellite Radio Station "The Coffee House - Acoustic Singers and Songwriters" and I heard this acoustic love song, called "I Like You" by SJ. I love it, and I hope you do to. It's so simple, upbeat and enjoyable to listen to. The video is great, too.

Dandelion Wishes

Make a Wish!  I went out for a walk in the park the other day, and I came across these HUGE dandelion flowers that had gone to seed.  Made me think about how as a kid, I would pick these "fluffy" flowers, make a wish, take a deep breath, and blow the little seeds all over, hoping for my wish to come true.
